Tennis String Tension Guide
String tension is the most underrated variable in your setup. It affects power, control, spin, and arm comfort more than almost any other equipment choice.
The Basic Rule
Lower tension = more power, less control. Higher tension = more control, less power.
Choosing Your Tension
Beginner (20-22 kg): Need power help, gentler on arm. Intermediate (22-25 kg): Most club players end up around 23-24kg. Advanced (24-27 kg): Full swings, need control. Over 40 (19-22 kg): Prioritise arm comfort.
Tension and Spin

When to Restring
Restring as many times per year as you play per week. Minimum every 6 months.
